Sustainable Recycling Industries (SRI): A Framework for Inclusive Recycling

The Sustainable Recycling Industries (SRI) programme and its international activities will be presented during a two-hour session on October 26, 2017 at the Centre International Conférences Gèneve, in conjunction with the World Resources Forum 2017. The recycling initiatives and success stories in SRI partner countries (Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Peru and South Africa) will be showcased, as well as the ISO document “Guidance principles for the sustainable management of secondary metals” (IWA19:2017) and its potential for implementation.

The Swiss Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva and the SRI coordinators are pleased to invite you to be part of the discussion and cooperation for sustainable and inclusive recycling worldwide.

SRI is a programme funded by the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO) and jointly implemented by the World Resources Forum (WRF), the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) and ecoinvent.
