Guidelines for Providing Product Sustainability Information

The Guidelines are the results of an international, multi-stakeholder process, led by UN Environment and the International Trade Centre in the framework of the 10YFP Consumer Information Programme. The Guidelines were developed by over 35 experts from various sectors and regions in a consensus based process.

The Guidelines aim to guide and encourage the provision of effective, trustworthy claims about the sustainability performance of products to consumers, and are applicable to all regions and companies of all sizes.

During this session, the Guidelines will be launched and representatives that supported their development will give testimonies on the process, the need for such guidance on a global level, as well as the next steps and how to get involved.
