Responsible Mining Index (RMI+) 2025

Responsible Mining Index (RMI+) 2025

The Responsible Mining Index+ (RMI+) is a biennial, evidence-based assessment produced by the World Resources Forum Association. It evaluates the extent to which large-scale mining companies publicly disclose their policies and practices on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Building on previous RMI editions by the Responsible Mining Foundation, the 2025 report introduces enhanced indicators and a stronger focus on Critical Raw Materials (CRMs). Using only publicly available data, it assesses 25 mining companies across six thematic areas—economic development, business conduct, project lifecycle management, community wellbeing, working conditions, and environmental responsibility—to promote transparency, accountability, and constructive dialogue within the mining sector.
