The RMI Report 2025 is an evidence-based assessment of the transparency of 25 large mining companies’ policies and practices on economic, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. This edition includes a comparative pilot study: Stakeholder Engagement Dialogue – Mine Sites in Zimbabwe and Peru, presenting findings from community engagement at two mine sites, conducted by trusted local facilitators. The results reveal gaps between corporate ESG commitments and how local stakeholders experience them. While some companies engage communities through internal sustainability teams, the outcomes are rarely made public, limiting transparency and peer learning. The report underscores the importance of including mine site perspectives in ESG evaluations and calls for greater transparency to build trust and strengthen the social license to operate. The RMI summary report provides overall results along with extracts from the company-level assessment.
