This technical guidelines document supports the sustainable management of used lithium-ion batteries in Colombia by compiling international state-of-the-art practices on collection, transport, reuse, second-life applications, recycling technologies, and safety aspects. It aims to inform the development of a cross-sectoral strategy and contribute to national and subnational policies that strengthen circular economy approaches, material recovery, and responsible battery value chains.
