Dr Stijn van Ewijk is a Research Associate at the UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources at University College London (UCL). His research is in the fields of industrial ecology and sustainability transitions and focuses on the benefits of a circular economy and potential transition pathways. He worked as a visiting researcher at the Department for Food, Environment & Rural Affairs (Defra) on the circular economy and resource efficiency. Stijn holds a PhD in Sustainable Resources and Engineering from the UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources and conducted part of the research at the Center for Industrial Ecology at Yale University. He has an MSc in Sustainable Energy Technology and an MSc in Public Administration from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Stijn has authored journal articles, chapters, and reports on engineering and public policy for waste management and the circular economy.
