Professor (Adjunct) at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil. In 2016, he finished his PhD thesis in Production Engineering, focus area on Operations Management at University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil and Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain. In 2012, he finished his master thesis in Materials Science and Engineering, focus area of Development, Characterization and Application of Materials, at University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. In 2010, he graduated in Wood Industrial Engineering at São Paulo State University (UNESP), in Brazil. Nowadays, he makes research on Life Cycle Management and Engineering (Life Cycle Assessment – LCA, eco-efficiency and ecodesign, and sustainable manufacturing topics), and composite materials development (lignocellulosic composites, physico-mechanical properties of wood and its derivatives). He is member of the Advances in Cleaner Production Network and member of the Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (ABEPRO), and since 2013 is an active scientific reviewer of Brazilian and international journals. Dr. Lopes Silva has published 4 books, 8 book chapters, more than 30 peer reviewed papers, and more than 40 papers on conferences. He has 139 citations and H factor 6 at Web of Sciences metrics.
