Dr. Shahrzad Manoochehri has studied Geology and received her PhD in field of Geochemistry and Petrology from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (Switzerland), where she continued working as a research associate at the Department of Earth Sciences. During this time, she was doing experimental and analytical investigations on the world’s largest chromium ore deposits located in South Africa. Besides she has gained several years of laboratory and teaching experience in field of Mineralogy and Petrology.
Parallel to her scientific background she has persuaded a bachelor degree in International Business Management from Hochschule Furtwangen University (HFU) in Germany and wrote her final project on market research and analysis of titanium minerals and products. Prior to this time, she was the project coordinator and scientific editor of a newly published treatise on industrial and minerals of Iran.
She currently works for the World Resources Forum contributing to resource governance, recycling and e-waste management projects, portfolio development and stakeholder analysis for establishing and strengthening partnerships and governmental outreach.
