Holger Rohn

Holger Rohn studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University (TU), Darmstadt. He is Professor for Life Cycle Management and Quality Management at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, University of applied sciences (since 10/2017). Before he was managing director at Faktor 10 – Institut für nachhaltiges Wirtschaften gGmbH and at Trifolium – Beratungsgesellschaft mbH in Friedberg (until 09/2017). Since 1994 he is senior consultant within the research group „Sustainable Production and Consumption“ at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. Since 09/2017 he is freelance researcher at the IZT – Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment (Berlin) for the co-ordination of the BilRess-Network “Education for resource conservation and resource efficiency”.
Focus of work: Management of resources and sustainability, instruments of sustainable economic activity, assessment of supply chains regarding sustainability, products and companies, Material flow analysis/ MIPS/ Material footprint, resource efficiency, education for sustainability, sustainable organizational development.
Holger Rohn is active member of several advisory councils and associations and lecturer in the University of applied sciences Münster, Leuphana University Lüneburg as well as St. Petersburg National Research University ITMO, Russia.
