Elena Regla Rosa Dominguez is full professor of the Chemical Engineering department of Central University of Las Villas. During her work trajectory, she has imparted classes in different subjects of Chemical Engineering career. In the last courses, she teaches the subject Mathematical Simulation, for Processes Analysis discipline.
She is teacher of several postgraduate subjects, related with the process design and the environmental sciences, among these: environmental administration and Life Cycle Analysis.
She was the head of Center of the Study of Applied Chemistry of the 2004 until the recent dates. Now she was promoted to investigation vice-dean of Chemistry-Pharmacy faculty Central of University of The Villages in Cuba.
She obtained the PhD in Technical Sciences in 1996, her thesis “Alternative of the Investment in the chemical industry considering the equipment reliability”, was defended in the national tribunal of chemical engineering and it reached the mention like the better thesis defended in the Technical Sciences section of degrade national commission.
She obtained the grade of Doctor in Environmental Engineering by means of title confirmed in Mexico in 2004.
She guides the university research line “Technological and Environmental Security” in which she also researches in Life Cycle Assessment area.
She coordinates the network of Life Cycle Assessment in Cuba and she is member of the Iberian-American network of Life Cycle Assessment, belonging from their foundation to the committee and representing Cuba in the activities carried out at international level.
