Mariia Rochikashvili is from 17th of December 2013 a PhD student at the Chair of International Management of Resources and Environment at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. Topic of her PhD thesis is “Meaning of sustainability of construction products in the perspective of user decision-making”. Analysis of various interviews with end-users of constructions products as well as experts in construction is within the scope of her research. Until then she was working as an engineer of the flow systems and the environment at JSC “Mill Combine” in Moscow, Russia. Her responsibilities, among others, included monitoring of compliance with applicable organic legislation, regulations, standards and Normative Environmental Protection; preparation of plans for environmental protection and control of their implementation; assistance in the collection of the initial data for calculation of emission limits, limit waste disposal together with appropriate service providers, development of measures to reduce emissions and reduce environmental impact. She has two publications in academic journals on the topic of sustainability of indoor paints.
