Louise Hutchins is the international advisor to Ecuador’s Environment Minister Dr. Daniel Ortega Pacheco and is an international communications, public relations and project management expert on climate and environment issues. She is leading projects on green cities ahead of Habitat III in Ecuador and sustainable reconstruction finance following the earthquake. Louise is the former international relations coordinator for the Community of Latin American and Caribbean states (CELAC) during the presidency of Ecuador in 2015, building regional and international support for a common position on climate change ahead of the Paris COP21. Louise has extensive experience in the NGO sector and led a number of international climate change projects for Greenpeace including campaigns to protect the melting Arctic from oil drilling and to phase out coal use in the UK and Europe. Before moving to Ecuador, Louise was a regular guest lecturer at several London universities on climate communications and international campaign strategy.
