Ramzy Kahhat is a Research Professor at the School of Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. Ramzy obtained his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Arizona State University. He is a broadly trained civil and environmental engineer applying concepts and methods from Sustainable Engineering, Industrial Ecology, and Earth Systems Engineering and Management. He is particularly skilled in the use of Material Flow Analysis and Life Cycle Assessments. His expertise in these areas have been used in several case studies, such as sustainable management of e-waste, environmental performance over the life cycle of electronic equipments, sustainable networks, and environmental impacts over the life cycle of residential buildings. In the past, he have been involved in a number of mine projects; such as environmental impact assessments, baseline monitoring, and aquifer characterization in Peru.
