Sandra Carrilo has a Master in Environment and Development. She graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), specialist in socio-environmental conflict prevention and sustainability management. Wide experience in the implementation of sustainable projects in more than 75% of regions in Peru involving public institutions, international cooperation agencies and more than 22 leading companies in the sectors of mining, oil, energy, fishing and infrastructure. Currently, consultant at the United Nations Environment Programme, and advisor on inclusive growth and extractive activities at the Federation of Canadian Muncipalities (FCM).

Professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Perú during the last 7 years, with an active participation as researcher and speaker of international congresses. Recently, speaker in the Ninetieth Latin American Conference on Political Science (Montevideo, 2017), the Annual Conference of the Royal Geographical Society (London, 2016) and the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences where received the Graduate Scholar Award 2016.
