At the World Resources Forum, Emanuele leads the communications & partnerships activities, including the organisation of the WRF global conferences (WRF21, WRF23, WRF25, WRF27). His work focuses on connecting perspectives from science, business, policy, finance and civil society to explore practical pathways towards more sustainable and fair resource management.

Over the years, he has contributed to initiatives on circular economy, resource governance, responsible value chains, critical raw materials, sustainable consumption and production, and innovation for sustainability. He currently leads WRF’s Boundless Innovation Initiative, which explores how innovation systems can contribute to human wellbeing within planetary boundaries. With a background in Economics and Philosophy (Utrecht University, Erasmus University Rotterdam), in his work Emanuele combines analytical thinking with practical implementation, with a focus on translating complex systemic challenges into actionable strategies.

Prior to joining WRF, Emanuele co-founded an Italian start-up developing vertical farming technologies, and worked as an open innovation facilitator and business developer, supporting collaboration between multinational companies, startups, and innovation ecosystems. Emanuele created and led the independent Circular Conversations platform, and is also a facilitator and moderator of events, with extensive experience convening international dialogues across sectors and stakeholder groups. Currently, he sits on the Advisory Board of the EU-Horizon DRASTIC project.

Outside of work, Emanuele enjoys experimenting with abstract art (with debatable results) and keeping his Roman roots alive as an active supporter of the AS Roma football club. Since becoming a father, he has also developed unexpected expertise in playground logistics and in managing the continuous flow of toys that somehow find their way into every corner of the apartment.
