Xaver Edelmann appointed member SATW

Xaver Edelmann at SATWLuzern, 16 May 2013 Dr. sc. tech. ETH Xaver Edelmann was appointed individual member of SATW, the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences.  With this appointment the Academy recognises his “long-term commitment to resource management and in particular his leadership in building the World Resources Forum.”

SATW President Prof. dr. Ulrich W. Suter said he was proud to welcome Xaver Edelmann as a new member and praised his outstanding skills and expertise in the area of engineering sciences.

He looked forward to continue the succesful cooperation with WRF in the years to come. One of the themes that SATW and WRF will jointly work on will be corporate social responsibility.

Xaver Edelmann  (1948) studied physics at ETH and has been a director of Empa since 1991, and WRF President since 2012.
