Building Sustainable Cities and Lifestyles in Latin America and the Caribbean

High-quality infrastructure, sustainable cities, modern energy supplies and adequate waste management facilities are widely seen as key factor in enabling consumers to adopt more sustainable lifestyles. This can be achieved by increasing investments by business and public authorities in resource-efficiency and CO2 reduction, and helping decision makers in government, business, NGO’s and private households to get access to adequate information, tools and methodologies. As a follow up of the World Resources Forum 2014, held in Peru, this conference focused on the potential for change in the Latin American and Caribbean region, by showcasing best practices, identifying obstacles and discussing how to overcome them, and forging partnerships and agreements to start acting now.

The WRF LAC conference was held in conjunction with the annual International Congress on Habitat and Sustainable Cities alongside the International GREEN EXPO.
