St. Gallen, 11 March 2015 Resource efficient enterprises in emerging countries will be the theme of a WRF/Empa organised workshop at the University of St. Gallen hosted Emerge Conference on 20 March, 2015. Speakers will be Sonia Valdivia (SRI, Sustainable Recycling Industries), Sandra Méndez Fajardo (EMPA) and Angel Versetti (WRF).
The workshop will discuss how to merge innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship to create resource efficient enterprises and business practices. The Sustainable Recycling Industries program will be presented, as well as a case study on electronic waste in Colombia, followed by a discussion on how to boost financing resource-efficient enterprises and projects in emerging countries.
From the 19th to the 20th of March 2015, the University of St.Gallen will host the Emerge conference. Now in its 8th year, the Emerge Conference is the premier student-run conference on emerging markets worldwide, with a competitive application process resulting in the 100 most motivated outstanding student candidates from across the globe being invited to take part in workshops, keynote speeches and networking events involving academic experts and practitioners from various fields.
