Her Majesty the Queen to Visit WRF19

Antwerp, 20 February 2019 Her Majesty the Queen of Belgium will join the opening session of the World Resources Forum, to be held in Antwerp, February 25-26, 2019. Her Majesty the Queen will – in her capacity as United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Advocate – also have a discussion with young people and students participating in the Recupel E-loop Challenge. This news has been published today, along with other program updates, on the WRF19 conference site.

Registration for the conference will close this week.

New reports on resource use, consumer behavior and climate change

WRF19OVAM will presents its report “7 messages about the Circular economy and climate change” at the Forum. The new report is a comprehensive study on how material efficient design, production, reuse, repair and recycling, offer new solutions for this global question. The report can be downloaded here.

The new study “1.5-Degree Lifestyles: Targets and options for reducing lifestyle carbon footprints” will be launched as well at this upcoming edition of the World Resources Forum. The report is conducted by the Japanese research institute IGES in collaboration with the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra.

About the WRF19 conference

From Sunday February 24th to Wednesday February 27th, Flanders Meeting & Convention Centre in Antwerp will become the global stage for a brand new view on lowering greenhouse gas emissions. From the keynote opening session to the introduction of innovative building passports, this global thought leadership event sets the Climate Agenda for 2030.

On line registrations for World Resources Forum 2019 close on Thursday February 21 at 12:00 (CET). Afterwards, only registrations at the conference venue during the conference will be possible.
