On 4 and 5 March 2021, the Austrian National Resource Forum will take place for the fourth time – this time as an online event and under the theme “New start into a resource-saving future or back to the past?”
The last few months have been marked economically and socially by the Corona pandemic. All hopes are pinned on overcoming the pandemic and its consequences for society and the economy in 2021. At the same time, we must not forget that the climate and resource crisis poses a second major challenge for the economy and society in Austria and globally. Therefore, at the Fourth National Resources Forum, we are asking the question of what a new start for the Austrian economy and social life should look like now. Will it be a “new start into a resource-conserving future or will it go back to the past?”
This will be discussed by experts from business, science and politics, who will question the role of resource efficiency, circular economy, regionality and reindustrialisation in overcoming the crisis.
WRF Vice-President Xaver Edelmann will deliver an input on “Sustainable use of resources – Global perspective taking into account financial markets”.
