The Boundless Innovation Initiative is a platform developed by the World Resources Forum to help businesses, institutions, and communities rethink innovation in a world increasingly shaped by resource constraints, environmental pressures, and geopolitical instability.

The initiative explores how innovation can continue to deliver prosperity, competitiveness, wellbeing and resilience while dramatically reducing resource demand and environmental impact.

What could human ingenuity achieve if living well within planetary boundaries became the central innovation challenge of our time?

The future of innovation will increasingly depend on our ability to satisfy human needs while remaining within planetary boundaries. In a world shaped by resource constraints, environmental pressures, and systemic risks, resilience and prosperity will depend on innovation systems that deliver more value with lower resource demand.

Research and Methodology Development
We do not reinvent the wheel. We map and integrate methodologies that help organisation measure and improve resource intelligent innovation. This includes work on resource productivity, material intensity, lifecycle approaches, wellbeing oriented innovation, sufficiency indicators, circularity, resilience and innovation assessment methodologies.
