Rosario Gomez – Professor and principal researcher at Universidad del Pacífico. As a professor, I am part of the Economics Department Faculty. In Universidad del Pacifico Research Center (CIUP), I have lead several research projects on natural resources and environmental economics, economic valuation of ecosystems services, agricultural economics and food security, trade and environment, environmental urban planning and management for national and international organizations (PNUMA, CAN, BID, IISD, FAO, USAID, COSUDE). I have also participated in projects of Integral Environmental Evaluation lead by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) (GEO 6, GEO 5, GEO 4, GEO LAC, GEO Cities, GEO Andino y GEO Amazonía).
In the public administration, I have been Deputy Minister of Strategic Development of Natural Resources in the Ministry of Environment. Besides, I have been part of several technical committees.
Master in Agriculture Economics by University of Illinois. Bachelor and Licensed in Economics by Universidad del Pacífico.
