Angel is responsible for the development of mechanisms to finance resource-efficient and sustainable SMEs and startups (in particular the WRF IBIS, IBIRE and Social Innovation projects for the United Nations Sustainable Consumption and Production 10YFP programme) as well as for communication and outreach for World Resources Forum and UNEP International Resource Panel, in particular on the social media. He is passionate about the role of the financial sector in driving innovation and technological progress, in particular with respect to building sustainable economies and responsible business models. Angel has authored and co-authored various pieces, ranging from policy briefs to articles to books, on a variety of International Affairs subjects, having been officially published by the United Nations (policy brief author, book co-author, research contributor), Mic.com (author of articles), Project Firefly and Global Environmental Society (author of articles).
Angel’s past work experience includes the United Nations (Trade and Investment Division for Asia-Pacific, Thailand; Disarmament Commission, Switzerland), Russian Refugees Aid Society UK as well as student jobs at Google, Bloomberg Institute and World Business Dialogue. In these functions, he has also publicly spoken or participated in dozens of international conferences and appeared on TV. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (First Class eq.) in Politics and Economics from Sciences Po Paris.
